Here you can learn a little more about me personally.

Pictured left is my wife and I. We got together in December of 2017 and were married in May 2022. She is one of my biggest supporters and I don’t think I could have made it here without her.

We’ve had some good times and some bad times, but one thing always stays the same at the end of each day:

We love each other and we mean it each time we say it. Love is a choice. Love is a way of life, not just a word.

I didn’t always want to be an electrician, oddly enough. I have gone through many paths, but this one seemed to stick.

When I attended high school, I had two major plans:

  • Environmental Toxicology

  • Band Director

Needless to say, these didn’t turn out. For environmental toxicology, I wanted to go around taking soil samples to tell farmers what they needed to do to make their soil better for their plants. However, I decided against it for fear of job scarcity. How many soil samplers do you know?

My other career path would prove to be a better option. While in school, I competed in several honor bands, some being at the state level*, in which I played a multitude of instruments:

  • Trumpet

  • French Horn*

  • Euphonium

  • Sousaphone

  • Marimba

  • Alto Saxophone

I learned to play several instruments because I felt that it would be easier to teach my students if I had already been in their shoes.

I pursued this career for two years in college, but got quickly burnt out. I felt inadequate to my peers who all seemed to know much more than I.

My plan beforehand was to do trade school in the summers and do music school in the spring and fall. After a conversation with my father, a tradesman, he cautioned me away from carpentry- my original choice- and towards electrical. He said that electrical would be much less physical and due to that I could do it longer. I would have to use my head more than my back. What I didn’t know is that “less” does not equal “much less”. Electrical work has been tough on me so far, but I’m not giving up without a fight! I am happy where I am and hope to be practicing for a long time to come.

I want to leave a jobsite feeling proud of what I’ve done.
